About me im 19, I know theres better out there but ive improved in 2 years from when i started. using a canon point and shoot and a $13 tripod. Dedicated with this, have asked people for advice on tons of forums, and in person. the more feedback i get the better i get and the same with the more pictures i take the better I get.
Woke up early today. Used my new tripod i bought for $13. Some of these im blown away by.
I never went to bed last night, had got 15 hours of sleep friday night so i wasnt tired. Went to walmart at 5am and bought the tripod. Started taking pics at 6:45am. I saved the best for last its unedited, if i touched it, it didnt look good.

I have a Walmart tripod also that I got for $13. Your pics look clearer with the tripod you got from Walmart for $13.

Ever figure out what's eating your taillight in the 3rd to last pic? And I see you stole my idea and put my fave at the end.

those look spectacular! i love early morning shots, the light is so much softer and nicer at sunrise than it is at sunset. a lot of times while I'm driving I wish I had some time to pull over and take pics, maybe one day I will :)
I don't think I have any criticisms at all. You got some nice new backgrounds, and you really took my advice on the rule of 1/3's. very, very nice.

yes ive taken everyones advice, last night while i stayed up all night i did some reading on tips for photos. learned that morning shots have the best light, got some angle ideas from a kid on ls1tech, invested in the tripod

I just noticed one thing, go back and retake #6, same spot, same light, but try to get somewhere where that pole isn't "growing" out of your car, preferably so its not in the frame at all, if possible. thats a great building, but the pole is in a bad spot.

Ive been checkin out all of these nice pics posted by members and i wanted to know what camera you guys would recommend to start out with? I know nothing about taking pictures and would like a good quality camera to start learning.

Where do you see them for that price? I've seen ~400+
I'm personally looking into the XTi/30D

This isnt your car, your cars got more work done to it i think, you also have a set of drag rims and tires, and your hood doesnt have a ram air hood decal that the previuos owner put on that i still need to take off and buff out.

details. They're still very similar.
my car may have stuff done, but the outside looks the same......and it only has welds on it at the track......they both look like pewter non ws6 cars

Just a question - I took a photography class in 'college' (yeah, my only class....lol)...rolls out more like a comment, but.....
Anyhows, one thing the instructor taught us was to take an 'auto' shot if we had an auto focus....then switch to manual and take a shot from 2 up and 2 down on the f-stops. Just to get some different perspective views. I did that at a construction site just looking for your basic 'geometric' shapes for a project I had to do (I did it all from develop and mat my own pix). Expensive hobby.
Anyhows...I'm digging the shots though. The overpass is sweet.

wayne, that's a bracketing assignment to bracket different exposure/f-stop combinations, as well as to see what the different apertures will look like with regards to depth of field. has nothing to do with manual focus/auto focus, and many point and shoot digital cameras will have manual settings for aperture, but the lens is so small that it doesn't actually change much as far as depth of field goes.

Just be careful who you trust. the "low price" on your site is talked about here
While prices are tempting, the hassles can be incredible. Most stores gave us an aggressive sales pitch for pricey accessories, charged excessive shipping-and-handling fees, and in some cases took weeks to issue refunds for stuff we returned.
