So I just got dropped from my insurance carrier, long story short, they kinda found out that my car was owned and registered in my name versus in my parents name. So I would like to get a new carrier versus cosigning ownership and registering it with my parents. I am 21, no accidents, and a few tickets, none of which resulted in points. What do you guys use, what do you pay etc? Really need some help with this one. Can't legally drive my car anymore.

New Jersey Manufacturers. It is a qualified pool, so it isn't the easiest to get into, but once you are in they have good rates and if they have a bunch of extra money at the end of the year they mail out rebate checks. My rebate was a few hundred bucks last year, people who were members longer got even more.

At your age your gonna get killed no matter where you go w/ a v8...shop around for the best price...Im assuming by the year of the car its paid off? So all you would need is liablity. Im 31 and got quoted through USAA about a grand a year on a LS1 for liability and collision...age does have it perks.

geico
long story short i have 3 cars all with full coverage, married and when I switched from allstate I saved about 46% from what they were charging me. Geico has been good with rates and even when I got hit they took care of me right away.

if you think that is bad wait til you call some of the other companies out there. Try progressive. They say they are the bomb when it comes to saving people money.
Also try liberty mutual, they gave me almost the same quote as Geico but i think it was maybe 8 dollars less not really worth the switch over. Never know. Also you can change your deductibles and limits to lower your payments.

Progressive is good, but they like to jack up their rates after the initial 6 month period.
I'm with High Point now, and I'm pretty happy with my rate. Full coverage on both mine and my wife's Jeeps, plus liability on the Camaro is ~1500 every 6 months.

State Farm here since I started driving. I have some nice deductions for being married and 25 along with my history with them. I pay $56/month for the bird for full coverage but its listed as a pleasure vehicle. G8 is $90/month with full coverage. I usually get a nice $300+ rebate check at the end of the year.

Well, looks like I am off to the DMV to cosign registration with my Mom tmmr. I am not pleased with it, but it will save me a lot of money and allow me to drive my car to the meet.

Insurance expires Nov. I think. Which is why this flaw was found, the insurance company did a little audit I guess.

I have allstate, am 25 and pay a little less than $2500/year for 4 cars, 2 are full coverage. Once I drop my 79 Camaro and 93 Grand Cherokee, it should go down to around $1500 for 2 vehicles with full coverage.

i have progressive. i pay 110 bucks a month for both the camaro and the beretta.
FYI if you have a registered DAILY DRIVER on top of your sports car to insure it actually BRINGS DOWN the price of insurance because your not driving the sports car all the time.
