View Full Version : Name That Car Game...
Mulletbird

This is a fun little game, involves a little knowledge of cars and stuff... lots of fun, been playing it on a few other forums.
Here's the way the game works:
1) You find a picture of a car. Make sure it's something realistic to figure out from ... so find a nice, high-res image, no 50x50 images of some abscure car.
2) Make sure, at some point in time, it was a US-production car, so no Citroen Prototype cars that never succeeded, etc.
3) Post the pic, and let the guessing begin!
4) When you guess, make sure you get both make and model. Guessing just the make doesn't net you anything
5) the first person to guess correctly gets to then post up the next vehicle for people to guess. Game continues like so...
btw - since we're working from pics, not looking the car over, make sure that if someone posts an identical car (i.e. I post Yugo GL pic, someone guesses VW Rabbit - it's actually the same body) that you hand off the win to them. Also people, because some amongst us might go out and cheat, hide the URL by rehosting ... takes a minute (I save all as "carname#).
Here goes nothing...

yes sir
Mulletbird
09-29-2008, 10:11 AM
Let me specify what I meant by that.
It has to be a vehicle that was PRODUCED OR SOLD in the US. As in, you can't find some obscure car that never made it to the americas, and never sold, and post up a pic of that. Has to be something you could've gone to a dealer in the US and bought.

Its a good one, I haven't seen one of those before.
If I look at it analytically, every manufacturer tends to do a lot of things the same from model to model and year to year, so what I see is the nose is a very British inspired design, a lot like the early Jags and Rols-Royces. But the roof line, windshield, and doors look very much like the mid to late 30's Chevys. I know Chrysler liked to use a lot of British inspired designs in the 20s and 30s, so I'd guess early 30s Chrysler and guess that Chevy copied the roofline and windshield design in the mid to late 30s.
i dont think anyone posted up a new one yet, so ill jsut jump in haha...tough luck...
