i got one of the bad ones last night. i was heading up to greenwood lake NY, where i passed a cop, parked in front of someones house, with his lights off. he pulls me over, i knew i was speeding. he comes up to the car, doesnt even ask how i am or anything, he just asks for my paperwork. i hand him my license and get my insurance and reg out, go to hand it to him...and he just goes "I DIDNT ASK FOR YOUR INSURANCE." then walks back to his car with my stuff without saying anything. took him a while so i knew i was getting a ticket, he comes back to the car and says "i know you have stuff done to this car, pop your hood and your hatch." so i get out and im pulling out the hood pins and in a nasty tone of voice "am i gonna find nitrous under the hood?!" and im like...uhhh no. and it has cats on it too. so he shines the flashlight under the hood pretending he knows what hes looking for (didnt even look on the other side where the air intake is...) then he just says "close it." so i do and go back to get in the car and he hands me the ticket, and just says "youve been issued a summons for speeding" and walks back to his car, no "have a good night" or "drive carefully"...scumbag. soooo eventually we get where we were going, and theres this kid there that overheard my story about the cop, turns out this guy once gave him 9 tickets in one traffic stop.

anyway, cliffs - cop was a dick, got a ticket for 17 over, had to pop my hood and hatch cause i may have had nitrous:roll:

"am i gonna find nitrous under the hood?!"

LOL i find that one funny, because the fact that you have a car plumbed for N2O automatically makes it illegal to drive on the street.

He knows thats the only way Fords go fast!

JUST KIDDING. That sucks I have had a cop like that before, I think cops get a hard on busting people's balls. The most I ever got was 4 on the GSP in my Ion Redline.

so you're saying you were speeding.....and got popped for it. Pay it, and take it as lesson learned.

Been there, doen that, still ticks me off to this day.

"i know you have stuff done to this car, pop your hood and your hatch."

You really want to say "Do you have a warrant?" - you know, since he needs one. But you know that will only make it worse.

not illegal to transport if you have a license, illegal to have it open and ready to use on street. automatic bottle opener/closer :D

I believe in order for you to pull the warrant card it has to be a locked separate section of the vehicle. I dont think a hatch counts, dont know about the hood. I know a truck, toolbox or any other lockable type thing does.

you should have asked for a warrent. the very first time i got pulled over was for speeding when i was 17. the cop wanted me to pop my hood,my trunk hell he wanted to search the entire car but i refused because he didnt have a warrent. so he took out his flashlight and was looking under my car and wanted to know where i "bought" my inspection sticker from. he didnt believe me that the inspection sticker had come from one of the state inspection places. anways i got my speeding ticket (and paid it) and he didnt get to search my car which really pissed him off but o well lol.

That's playing a very dangerous game. If they have any reasonable suspicion I'm sure they could keep you there until they got a warrant. If you waste their time enough to make them go through that process you better whip out the platinum Mastercard to pay for the fines/tickets they'll come up with.

i had nothing to hide under the hood so i opened it...if i had something to hide, might have been a different story

Too bad he was a dick to you. I got a call from a friend the other day that we used to street race with now he is a cop. Really big surprise you would have to know this guy you would never believe it. But he is still cool about stuff because he is really into cars. He told me some of the other officers are really ball busters.

I thought Matt ran into the good cop! He only got 1 ticket. The bad cop would have given him a handful of tickets! Heck, having Shane in your car is worth a ticket right there!
