ok sorry i havent been on in a while had some gf problems cuz i bought a new camaro.... well shes gone and its almost done. all i need to do is get driver and passanger seats and get the fluids primed. i will have pictures soon i want to clean it first. well heres the basic specs....... ok 1985 iroc-z t tops and absolutely no rust.... imported from hawaii (car fax proves it hehe) original owner undercoated the well underneath with a something paint that seals it an it felt like a rubber... well no rust and none in the engine bay... ok lie where the batter sits... nothing else. power everything and clean interior. ok engine.... 1978 suburban motor with mild cam. edelbrock torqer II intake manifold. and a holly 700 or 750 double pumper. i have a new set of headman headers going on and not sure about exhaust... street legal... or "legal" anyways trans is a turbo 400 with a b&m ratchet shifter and a 3200-3500 stall converter and thats back to a nice 10 bolt posi with 4.10 gears.. ok thats it for now. any comments or advice as to where i can get seats cheap or reasonable even kickers let me know. also the suburban motor has "200hp" stock then with a cam im guessing close to that anyways. will this set up be faster then my 87 z28 with a stock 305. 5spd. i mean if it runs 15.2 then my guess is the iroc should run mid 14s..... well i look forward to your advice thanks

i really think that will smoke your 15.2 as long as the basics are in check. the battery area is typically going to rust out first so take care of what you can to prevent further damage. as for seats, i have 4th gen cloth seats. driver is power and is torn in the usual spot. the others are nice just a couple stains here and there from age. i will find the thread with pics and throw up the link for you.
