Twin Turbo Stealth

ok guys i know its not an f body but i figured someone might be able to help me out. my friends dad has a 92 dodge stealth twin turbo awd 5 speed car, and they just had plugs wires fuel filter trans and tcase fluid changed. now the car kinda bucks around when you take it down the road. its fine at idle. today we noticed some gear oil on the bottom side of the trans. i took it for a drive today and through every gear the car would kinda buck or shake like a manual car does when the rpms are real low and getting ready to stall. idk if maybe the clutch was slipping or maybe even a turbo on its way out. any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated

well i'm not too familiar with them, but could a wire be crossed or ripped? also, is the fuel filter installed correctly? if it were backwards, that would cause some issues especially under load. was the right gear oil used?

thats exactly what i asked my friend tonight lol. as far as i can see they wires are routed correctly, the fuel filter is a pain to get to so im not sure. and he didnt know what kind of fluid the guy used on the trans

hmmm well i would have to suggest that first, then go deeper. other then that :shrug: dsm is not my thing

What kind of low rpm are you talking about? Do you mean in gear around idle? That would just be the engine trying to drag the car along at a way lower than intended engine speed.

If it is happening at a normal cruising rpm while on steady throttle, that could be a problem with the emissions controls or a clogged IAC.

First thing is first, go over all the plugs and wire and make sure everything is tight. Simple things can present as big problems sometimes.

check the gap. if he used 'double fire' plugs i would go back and change em with single fire plugs. my moms turbo pt cruiser did the bucking back and forth after she had her friend do a tune up. plugs are finicky in turbo cars.

Well I would get rid of the car IMO. The transfer cases have a problem where they lose the gear oil, and then lock up all 4 wheels out of nowhere. even when the cars were under warrenty, Mitsubishi/ Dodge wouldnt cover it. Make sure it has gear oil in it, and see how badly its leaking. also how many miles are on the car, and has teh timing belt been serviced lately. They have to be replaced every 60K+ because they stretch and break, and they are an interference engine. also check your trans mount, and of all else fails, check out 3SI.org for any info. that was the club I was part of. I dont have a TT, but I do have the DOHC 6G72, and they are a pain in the ass.

If the transfer case is aluminiumiumium I hope it doesnt have gear oil in it....
