View Full Version : My G8 was chosen for some free exhaust mods

I got a PM from a well known exhaust manufacturer that they are looking for a G8 GT with no exhaust work done to install their new axle-back exhaust setup. The pitch is that if I let them do it I get it for free. The install will be happening on Monday so I'm pretty stoked. Axle-backs on this car don't do much for power but more or less sound, but free parts are free parts.

I'll be posting up when its all done!

So how close is my guess? lol

I can tell you it is not SLP.

I'll post up on Monday and hopefully have some clips. I won't have my vid camera since someone is borrowing it but I'm sure they will be taking sound clips.

Sounds good Brian, I bet the car will sound awesome! No one will expect it coming from a 4-door sedan!

I hope you don't get the dreaded "drone" when the AFM kicks in. Let me know your impression after driving it for a while.

Awesome! Like you said, free parts are free parts. If we are playing the guessing game, I have a feeling it may be an outfit out of PA...
