At least 2 things wrong, not sure about the obstruction deal. Why no one believes me tint = instant probably cause I'll never know. I'm old, been there, done that, paid the fines.

well i mean like speeding or watever. i was in newton. was a town cop. first non state pig i been pulled over by and that makes 7 tickets in my bird and 12 all together. sucks.

Stupid = knowingly breaking the law and then complaining when you get in trouble for it?

i was speeding the other day and the cop let me off with a tint ticket. tint has its +'s and -'s. i was driving a little under the influence and waited for two cops to tail me but neither did. score!

rererreeerreee tard.... keep complaining... i got tired of the harrasment by the cops i know and am friends with.... so i tend to keep the cars on the legal side.... the obvious stuff like tints and lighting, as for emmisions lol well they cant see that

Blacdout96
10-29-2008, 11:36 PM
Yeah, all my friends say to tint my back window im the Camaro, but I dont wanna risk getting pulled over because my friends think it would look better, plus im not a big tint fan. Slo, what precent tint are you running in your car?

V

hatch is fully legal to tint, ...all the way to 100% in NJ

madness410
10-30-2008, 12:43 AM
yeah man take my advice and take the tint off...i used to have it on my civic gave me nothing but tickets. plus its a hazard to police officers.

At the rate your going you should have a new wing at the police station named after you.

Keep it legal and spend the saved money on parts.

Slo86Bird

stupid i mean like a failure to provide papers when the insurance card went bad the day b4 i got pulled over...still had insurance but the card was no good...

these 3 were stupid imo.

last winter i pulled out of a parking lot and spun out on ice and he said i was doing burnouts and gave me a careless...

one was improper use of highbeams as well as a failure to provide because the registration wasnt in the truck...i thought i had highbeams on so i "turned them off" thus turning them on and then right back off and it was a cop and he pulled me over and said i was flashing ppl for the cop that was back a little bit.

the 3 speeding i understand and the failure to stop i understand but the guy gave me a carless and a failure to stop at a stop sign for doing 2 mph thru a stop sign...shoulda only gotten the failure to stop imo.

but whatewver. i been trying to be good. and of course its when my truck is taken apart to do brakes that i have to take my car and then i get pulled over.

gee, there's something to be proud of

If you knew you were in a condition to get in trouble then you know you shouldn't have been driving. Call a cab, family member, or a sober friend next time. Getting home isn't important enough to risk your life or everyone else's over.

I'll take a tint ticket over a potential emission ticket any day of the week. Just my opinion.

Yeah, but the tint is stupid because it gets you pulled over to begin with and then they will start to look for other items like illegal exhaust. Why would you want something so obviously illegal done to your car?

I really don't have a great answer for that question other than the car looks 100x better and is more enjoyable to drive. I still believe it's luck of the draw which cop nabs you. I did the tint thing for 2.5 years, 15% all around, and 2 years was with TDs dumped before the axle. I couldn't have tried to be more of a cop magnet. I was stopped ONCE for tint, and it was a month ago, and he originally stopped me for speeding, not even tint. He gave me the tint ticket and knocked the speeding off. I changed the exhaust before getting rid of the tint. TDs dumped and a 111LSA cam doesn't exactly help you blend in with the general population either ;)

Rear window is legit for anyone.. need with documentation is anything else iirc

V

we can argue tint all day long, there is nothing specific in title 39 codes about it. 39:3-75 is whats usually written, or the statue for obstruction of veiw or unapproved equipment.

all tint websites say rear windows and back window can be tinted any percent in NJ, front and windsheild can't have anything.
my ss hatch is tinted and i got pulled over alot, other stuff, and nothign was ever said about it.
now i roll by cops in my sky with sides and back all 5% and nothing, im not worried about it.
i did the doctors note thing for my 95 STS caddy, worked a decent amount.

as fort he other stuff... 12 tickets aint nothing... i have over 50, and only 4 were moving violations in the past 11 years. like every one says pay to play.
you cant get out of any ticket for the mos part especially equipment violations by just talking to the officer appropriately.

heck, onc ei got pulled over for inspection(had a rejected sticker from oct, it was now july) i didnt have my DL, insurance or registration with me, and the cop asked for any type of id, i showed him a ticket i got for the inspection just a week earlier, had my DL number on it , lol. he found it funny and just told me to take the car home. that was in a town known for writing bs tickets and this was before i knew members of law enforcement.

be smart, be courteous, and be prepared to write out a few checks every year... lol

Yes .. Paul is right.

Anything from the cab foward (windshield and two side windows), is illegal to tint in NJ.

Anything behind the driver (rear glass and rear side windows if applicable) is legal to go as dark as you want. You could probably paint them black if you want.

Under the influence covers a lot of ground. If you go out and have 2 beers you are under the influence. Like no one else has ever gone out and had a few beers and DROVE home.

i had 4 beers in 4 hours. my body is capable of digesting 1 beer an hour. driving under the influence isn't drunk driving. hell it could be drugs too. not my style though. i just stated the beer drinking because alcohol gives me a heavy foot .

ha i am creeping up on you. i have about 25 in 4 years of driving, suspended for 13 months. being polite is the best thing to do. my first year of driving, i would get stopped 2-3 times a month and never got a ticket. wish i learned then though. it is quite a money drain.

Nowadays it's all about race. No matter what color the cop is, it's always race. Either that or just flat-out profanity.
