From National Geographic
Temperatures hovered consistently around a steamy 136 degrees Fahrenheit (58 degrees Celsius), and the cave was filled with mineral-rich water that drove the crystals' growth.

they were exploring a cave how far underground? wouldn't exactly be like walking from your house to your car in a heat wave. nontheless, amazing!

ok, seems reasonable now, but that 112 lethal and needing full suits was stupid. in the nat geo article it shows a person in normal clothing, makes more sense.

Yeah....I've been in 140 degree weather, humitidy was VERY low, but it was HOT....nothing that was gonna kill you in 10-15 minutes....

100% humidity is alot different and I think they where down there for multiple hours at a shot and with no ventilation or moving air current I don't think you would be able to survive down there on your own to long.
But for short periods of time I don't think it would be lethal or maybe they just over exaggerated just a little bit.
