Hey guys my Xbox 360 died on me. Got one red light and a error E71 and then a E74 messages. So im selling it and getting a Wii.




Selling my Xbox and Xbox 360 i hate them now.

Ahhhh Ive had that happen. It just depends which 360 you got, cuz IIRC, last year they started putting better parts in it (forgot the name) that has an enormously lower rate of the Ring of Death. I ended up throwing my old one out and buying a 360 Elite, with no problems...

Also got a Wii... its fun but gets boring after a while.

Well the wii looks good. I just dont want to spend $400 again on a system.

And do you think i should trade the games in at gamestop.

Google those error messages there are ways to fix it your self
check out my forsale section I am selling just the white systems for 75.00 and the elite systems for 125.00 no hard drives or cables.

The new 360's have a new chip in it that will not give you a RRoD. Do some research on it.

i saw a commercial on TV about them selling for $199 now. i'm guessing that's a bare bones system, something one would have to upgrade?

Tim's right, it is crap, unless you always have 1-3 people playing with ya. It's a very boring system if your playing by yourself. PS3 would be better, if not, just stick to a 360.

I just had almost 20 360 units sent in to be fixed and didn't have a single problem, except for the fact that every person I talked with was from india or over there some where.
other then that the customer service was excellent and on top of that the systems I have been getting back to replace the RRoD ones I sent in are either new or under a year old meaning they are replacing all the systems with the new chip design.
FYI all the 360 systems have a 3 year replacement warranty against RRoD!
Wii is fun for multiple people ps3 is the cheapest blu ray player on the market 360 has the most games.

If you get the innercooler for the 360 it somewhat prevents thr RRoD. I got it, I never froze up or had them yet, and I got th 360 when it first came out so Iam more likely to get it then anyone else and I havent gotten it yet..........

With my luck tho, watch ill get it tommrow :)

Like everyone else has said the Wii is really only fun for when it's more than one person.
If you do decide to get rid of all your games post them up here as I'm sure you can make more that way than just trading them in for pennies

He's right you should do that insted of getting like 2.00 a game at Game Stop.

Thanks but my friend had a Ps3 and said that it was crap. And the wii has some good game's on it. Yea i would get nothing at GameStop.



I have about 23 game's from xbox to 360 and they would give me nothing.

And a Xbox i think they said $25. That is nothing and i will be posting a For Sale tread. SOON



And can the wii stream movies from site's....

Buddy of mine fixed his RROD for a total of $7 on his own with parts from Blowes Home Improvement... true story and played Gears for roughly 4 hours on Saturday with no hiccups.

I got a newer one about a year ago and got a 2 year warranty just in case at bestbuy. Not a big gamer so i probably dont play enough to burn the machine up, I probably use the dvd player more then the video game :rofl:..Cant do wii here too kiddy...kinda wish i got the ps3 w/ the blue-ray though.

Trade all your old systems in and the games...That should cover the cost of the system or more...You might like some of the games though, im kinda a out w/ the old in w/ the new kinda guy.

I use to stream videos wirelessly from youtube on my big screen...MY NEW HAIRCUT was the first thing i played and it had my whole house cracking up when I through a party last year.

I agree, they don't give you **** for them anyway. Like others have said it is more fun with more people. I would say just get another 360, I am sending mine back this week, I haven't played in months, damn death ring. Was playing COD5 at my friends on 360, I love it.

Well i got a PS3 for $225 60GB with COD3 and madden 09 works great. Later on i will get a 360 when they fix all the problems. But gamestop does suck realy bad.

I have a PS3/Wii/XBox 360. The day my 1st X-box broke (3 rings of death) had it replaced under warranty. The 2nd time it broke I went right to the store and brought another. My PS3 broke with only 3 months of very limited play had it repaired under warranty. My Wii never broke but Wii = Bitchbox I mean its cool and all but the kids play with it. I have had it since last Christmas and maybe played about a total of 2 hours. X-box best online play and better games hands down
