autozone will scan it for free. Then you post the code up on here and we tell you how to fix it.

it will still be stored in the computers memory so you can still scan it and see what it was

ok, i went to advance, and got codes:
P0171- system too lean bank 1
P0174- system too lean bank 2
so the question is, what makes these run lean or read lean?
thanks for the advece

Most of the cars I've worked on with both those codes set has turned out to be a vacuum leak. Un-metered air getting into the intake somewhere after the MAF sensor would make it run lean. I usually spray around the intake and around the vacuum lines with carb cleaner. When the idle changes when you spray a certain spot thats where the leak is.
Could be something fuel or sensor related but most of the ones I see turn out to be vacuum leaks.

cool ill try that tonight. could it be my pcv valve being a lil loose? cause i know its a lil wobbly. the other thing is my car pulls a little bit funny at certain conditions, like if theres a little load and i half throttle and the rpms are around 3000 or so, it kinda like stops pulling for a second, then picks back up. i have been thinking MAF, and this lean thing has me wondering, but ill def. try the vaccum lines first.
