a general problem for my civic. i got pulled over last night and the officer told me i had no tail lights on at all, but my brake lights worked. i check the wiring harnesses in the back, everything checks out, and also checked all the fuses, there is no fuse for tail lights. im scratching my head here i have no clue what can be wrong. all the bulbs are fine also.

anybody ever encounter a problem like this?

do you have a test light? see where you do and don't have power. also, the bulbs are dual filament so make sure you check them with a new bulb. there should be a fuse though, i would think. 96 civic? i'll try to remember to look up some stuff at work monday, i'd go now but can't get there.

i can get a test light ill do that tomorrow. but all the lights are out, there are 4 bulbs so i dont know the odds of all of them going out haha..

yeah man 96 civic. i looked at the fusebox by the steering wheel column and also the fuse box under the hood and saw nothing for tail lights. only thing close was backup lights im not sure if that constitutes tail lights. thanks for your help man

nah back up is reverse, i have seen stranger things happen. just a suggestion to get one bulb and test it in each socket. test light is your best bet
