I couldnt break 12s either with street tires. Best i did i was 13.09, So i just bought MT ET streets. Now im running 12.409s and havent changed a thing.

That's gonna be a big day for me, when I started modding the car back in june, my goal was a 12 second pass before the end of the year so I'm either getting that 12 second pass or blowing the rear trying! Ive got a few bets with friends going too lol.

Nah, he'll be fine. I've gone 11.25 and back to back 11.40's with no rollbar of safety harnesses without a word said by the track officals. Next season I should have my 9inch for some mid 10sec passes :rofl:.
I'd love to be out there with you guys but I'm pretty sure I'll be in the recovery stage on sunday. Got a party to go to after the Applebees meet.

Unfortunately I only have one NA pass with the H/C setup. I went 12.21 @ 117 with a 2.01 60ft :scratch:on a 94* day. But the funny thing about my 11.25 @ 125 (1.74 60ft) pass was the fact that I was out of nitrous. When next season comes around I'll be making more NA passes to learn the alittle better.

I'll be there looking not just for a 12 second pass, but a deep 12 second pass. I plan on taking the back seats and passenger seat out of the car for some weight reduction. Next weekend is Go Big or Go home.

drop the a/c and condenser too. thats like 34 more lbs. drop the front sway bar as well. thats 15lbs and the nose will pick up a lil more helping your 60' time. thats about 50lbs off of the front right there. i dont know how good of a driver you are, but in theory that car should be good for 12.50s or better, depending on how much u take out. i hit 12.50s full weight back in 2006 with full bolt ons, minus a LS6 intake, no tune 4.11s and street tires

Lol, well my trans doesn't like cold shifting so I'll have to load it up with some synchromesh before I head out and I should be able to shift descently. I'll be happy with 12.7xs which I think I'm a good enough driver to hit that with DR's.

yea, with the shape of those tires I don't think they'd handle too well in the rain we have coming in the next few days....especially the way I drive...lol. I may not be able to get the slicks so I may still use your tires. Whatever I do it'll be last minute. I plan on doing some weight reduction tomorrow, maybe I'll throw the tires on and see how they handle in the rain.

I just put on the drag radials and put my chrome 5 spokes back on the front. I've done about 5 2500 rpm dumps with no burnouts and these Mickey T's are hooking :). I'm thinking I might do the whole water and bucket thing in the garage because I wont have time tomorrow morning and I dont feel like doing it in the drive way now and freezing my ass off.

Alright, Camaro has been taken down to basic race weight. Rear seats, cargo cover, ttop bag are out along with about 40 bucks in change I found under the rear seats.
Oil was changed, tranny fluid topped off. I was gunna check the tire pressure before I head out, and then adjust accordingly at the track.

i put my chassis mount adj. tq arm and V6 springs in today. what a difference in traction on the cold street with street tires! i launched soft around 2500-3000 rpm and usually it spins at the top half of first gear into second, but it didnt spin 1st, and just chirped into 2nd 3rd and 4th :)

They usually start around 10 or so but I would watch the first couple of cars go down to see how well the track is prepped or if ya are one of the first ones to run take it easy to see if the track is hooking. Two weeks ago while running early in the morning the track was a skating rink before it came around but last week it hooked right away which was unusual but welcomed. I'm not sure if I am going tomorrow since some other plans came up but if I do make it I'll be sure to come up to you guys and say hi. Either way good luck to all!

The G8's ran great, Al's turdgen did great, I finally got a 12 second pass. I was lucky enough to get 3 runs in while the rest of the group only got 2 and we all arrived at 10 am. So for the money, we got screwed. I'll let everyone post up their times, just get ready for the g8 with intake and axle back :-P

A brand new GT500 smashed up its nose as soon as we all got into the lanes.
First run was at 12ish, we got there at 10...
First run...It was DJ Big Al on the 1-2's spinnin the hits
2.868 60ft
16.2 @ 94mph.

Second and last run... Dropped pressure to 23psi each tire, and the Posi worked.
14.4 @ 95mph w00t!!

Last time I went to the track with it a few years ago I went 15.38 @ 89mph.

There feels like there is more, and we will see what happens with a few more tweeks for next season.

The G8 did very well today but the Bird just couldn't get it together for any real decent runs. I need to really go through it properly this off season.

thanks for getting me. I wasn't feeling very social today seeing as how i only got about 3 and a half hours of sleep the night before.
A recap of my runs- 1st run something was slipping either my clutch or my tires and i ran like 20 seconds lol but still a 2.0 sixty foot. The 2nd run i didnt launch it and got a 2.4 60' and a 13.4. So next season i know the 12's are in my grasps just need a good run.

Yea, there was an oil down 2 runs before him and I guess they didn't get it all up. I heard he got sideways and tried to stay in it and he spun twice and hit the wall.
