January Meet - Firkin Tavern - Saturday, January 24th

[NJSPEEDER]

We will be kicking the year off by revisiting one of the classic NJFBOA meet locations, the Firkin Tavern in Ewing, home of the first ever official NJFBOA meet over four years ago. It is always a great meeting spot to kick off the new year.

The cost of the meet is $30 per person and we will be using the buffet format that has worked very well the past few years. Please send prepayments via PayPal to paypal@NJFBOA.org, please include your user handle and your full name with your payment. Also at the January Meet we will be handing out our third annual Member of the Year Award.

The meet will also feature special prices on club merchandise, give aways, and whatever else we can come up with. Please feel free to bring your friends and families to join in the fun as we kick off our fifth year in style.

I am pretty sure every January meet we have ever had was at the Firkin. We head north in February, so stay tuned for that.

Just show up to the January meet. As any of the peeps that have been down here will tell you, it is a really good time. Lots of great food and laughs.....and possibly one or two drunk admins. lol

You can mail a check or M/O if you want. The only meet that we are having between now and then is the December Monthly Meet this coming Saturday at the Applebee's in Hammonton.

The menu is dinner rolls, salad, chicken parm, fett alf, and all the soft drinks you want. Food there is pretty good actually :)

Just wanted to remind everyone that there are only 5 weeks until the meet. We have a seating limit and we are going to be using several seats for invited guests. Get your deposit in today to be sure you don't get locked out or stuck sitting in the other room(closer to the bar but away from the fun)

Yes, the food is being put out at 1 and it stays out until 3 or so. Even if the food isn't out, the bar is still open, and that counts :)

I drove it to the Chili's meet in Jan last year with salt on the road and then got caught in the rain 3 times over the summer so I'm sure that salt dust got washed off. :lol:

We had a good time, even though my f'n hamstring was about to pop through my skin. It was nice to see some O/Gs and some new peeps. The food was f'n steller as well. Good times. Thanks to everyone that made it out. Although it was cold, the clear skies encouraged a lot of members to bring out their cars. Good food and service from the Firkin Tavern as always and lots of laughs.

Big thanks and congratulations to Scott, BonzoHansen, for earning the 2008 NJFBOA Member of the Year award. Scott stepped up and helped the club a lot this year. Adding his knowledge and skills to the administration of the forums as well as many events through out the year. Thanks for the support Scott.
