I received my acceptance letter today to attend the Washington Internship Institute for the Spring semester. Basically I'll be receiving credits to attend this internship, working for free while attending class. its supposedly a great experience which should help me get my feet wet in Washington and might land me a job that pays for grad school. anyways, i'm pretty pumped for this, can't wait to live life in georgetown! i start January 15th

Georgetown is a nice area. I lost my keys there once. also puked and pissed off the roof of a multi-million dollar house  good times...

My in-laws live in Georgetown, I go there all the time. DC is a fun place but has some BAD sections.

Inauguration is 1/20 so you'll get there right on time, lol.

usually the interns get to meet the president so i should be able to meet obama some time this year. i visited georgetown last year and have been itching to go back since.

what was cool was i met an admission consultant at 11am yesterday, he liked me and called up the place and gave me a gangster recommendation, i applied right when i got to the library, got my acceptance letter at 4 without any of my docs. pretty cool deal.

congrats. my niece went through a similar deal. she graduates law school in a few months. i'm waiting for my invitation. DC is a nice town, but i wouldn't want to live there. like any sprawling metropolis, it's got its bad sections. gotta take the bad with the good. just don't get caught after sundown in a bad section and everything is cool.

I feel safer in DC than in Philly on those 'back streets'.....

Georgetown is nothing but 'party city'....so be careful.

Good Fellas was a nice stop with the boys ;) So was Camelots.
M street is a happening place to party....so learn the routes to the clubs and you're set. Just remember - in DC there's no "right on red" like everywhere else.....

oh, and if you haven't already, buy a GPS to get around DC. The roads make no sense. Steve told me a reason for it once, something to do with national security, but regardless, it sucks to get through if you don't know where you're going.

It's because 1/2 the roads were designed by a drunken Frenchman in the late 1700s.

Metro FTW (no stop in GT FTL)

Wayne-o, DC leads the nation in homicide....there are parts I won't even drive through.

Hopefully you get placed in a job with good bribes. I wouldn't want you to be stuck with lobbyists that can give you all expense paid trips to the artic during the off season or something crappy like that. lol
