had an exhaust leak on the truck at work that i drive for salting/plowing that was very slowly getting worse. so today we decided to finally take a look at it...Its a 97 F350 mason dump with a 460 V8 that doesnt really have any problems, except...theres a hole...in...the cylinder head.

just ot the left of center in the picture. below it looks like a crack, but its actually just a shadow of rust.

any ideas on a cheap fix? this truck is done after this winter pretty much.

thatll hold up to the heat of the exhaust port on a cyl head?

its says it can withstand a constant temp of 500...

a quick search online, not very specific though, gave me the idea cylinder head temps reach like 380-400 max. so it should hold up a while. The JB threshhold is 600 for up to 10 min or so. try it, can't hurt.

ah yes, the POR15 stuff, get that, i loved all the POR15 products ive used, i had an idea there was something else out that, but couldnt remember.

marine tec/tex? used to repair boat hulls. dono the heat resistance.
