I saw this posted over at trans am country. Probably not for the faint of heart but I think drivers of all ages need to see stuff like this every so often.

the end was good. all of the filler, pretty beat. **** happens in some of those examples, thats why they call them accidents.

All the more reason to pay attention. I think most of the examples are in slow/med driving situations - probably when most people feel safe to talk on the cell, etc.

yes but i was referring to their chain reaction scenarios. sure people rear end people and maybe the person at fault was doing something they shouldn't do while driving, but the fact that the person rear ended hit someone in a crosswalk isn't their fault. the person in front should have left plenty of room for a situation like this to occur. they are good with the intentions but wrong with the delivery in my opinion.

Crazy ****. Why can't they air that here?
The only thing close to that was the prom horror video we got to watch.

I want to say that isnt GB, but Austrailia. They had what looks to be a Holden Commodore or a Ford Falcon doing that burn out.

I've seen this video over on ls1tech. I'm glad to see that you guys are more mature than the guys who posted over there.. they were all haha oh well f*** it who cares..dumb pointless vid, all kinds of immature stuff.. I say, post this all over as a commercial so people open their eyes. Also in drivers ed where young kids are learning so they dont go on the roads and act stupid..very strong video though

The chain reactions were all examples of possible results from irresponsible driving. In all reality there is no such thing as an accident, one way or another, someone made the critical error that cause it to happen.

Right.
I guess being a dad has altered my train of thought as I probably used to think like SBMX that **** happens. But the point is it doesn't have to happen. Seeing that kid down hurts. The stuff of nightmares.

no i totally agree with you guys but like some of them were a little far fetched. sure anything could happen, responsible driving could have prevented a lot of it too. sometimes things just line up for a devastating snowball effect and there isn't much you can do other than your part. i guess i'm just saying that everything isn't preventable.

They should definitely air commercials like that here in the US. But political correctness would kill it. I remember when I was in driver's ed in high school they made us watch actual police footage from real crash scenes, before the victims were removed. Not pretty stuff.

One time I read something along the lines that driving 15mph over the speed limit is equivalent of having a .1 BAC.

the whole premise of the video is to....::gasp:: pay attention. and it gets that point across very well.
they shouldnt even call them accidents because, while accidents DO happen, they can easily be avoided if everyone pays attention. they should really call them traffic collisions, because the term accident implies that there is no one to blame.
anyone who has seen hot fuzz knows that one, lol, and it is very true.

Lol we live in NJ noone can do anything wrong behind the wheel unless you hit someone not in a car or your drunk.
My friend was T-bone by someone who ran a stop sign, noones fault clearly. :-?

doubt it. When I'm hammered I can't drive for ****. I can easily do 15 over...

too bad .1 isn't hammered. It's just over the legal limit (< 2 drinks)
