Hope it works when you buy it. Liquidation sales = all sales are final.

The liquidation sale is going to be next month? Noice...just in time for refund checks....even though I'm not in a position to buy an HDTV if I see a great deal I'm pulling the trigger on one.

If any of you have gift cards don't wait out the sale they may be worthless by then.

They will probably hire the "Homeless guys holding signs on the side of the road" liquidation company and will sell all the good stuff at close to retail anyway. When they start doing deep discounts anything really worthwhile will probably be long gone.

Looks like my DVD collection might be double, or even tripling, soon.

duh, that's so when they cut the prices they don't lose as much and people still go nuts because they're "saving 30%"

the one in lawrenceville is starting it's sale tomorrow at 10% store wide is what I was told from a friend that works there.
direct quote from the above link.
The company said the sale would begin Saturday and run until March 31, pending court approval.

Are you also shutting down your operations in Canada?
* No, our Canadian operations will continue. They are not affected by the liquidation of Circuit City's U.S. operations. The Canadian operations employ approximately 3,000 associates.
Will Circuit City stores continue to accept Circuit City gift cards?
* Yes, customers holding Circuit City gift cards may redeem them at full value at our stores during the liquidation sales. Once the stores are closed and the company is out of business, the gift cards will have no value.
What about returns and refunds?
* Customers can return products they purchased prior to January 16 for a 14-day period for exchange or refunds. All other terms of return policy are in force.
* When closing sales begin on or around January 17, 2009, all sales will be final.

Funny thing about BigLots- their most famous close out was the DeLorean.

We stopped by yesterday to the one in Wayne. Got 3 PS3 games for $125, when 2 of them were marked at $60 each. SOme stuff was just 10% off and not quite worth it yet. But people were buying TVs like crazy.
We'll go back when they increase the discount and maybe pick up a new tv (or 2).

Their liquidation sale is a joke, don't expect good deals on anything big except DVDs and CDs.

The Office Depot by me is closing. Went in there to look around and it looked like they marked everything up 20% then took off the 10% for there closing sale.
Never been a fan of Circuit City. For some reason I always end up at Best Buy.

I usually like to go to a local retailer rather than a large highway store. I've only been to Circuit City once.
