Hey eric I think I ordered mine from the same company. You know for only $50 you could send them the paint code and have it painted already. I'll look up the company I ordered mine from in a sec and get back to you. It's really a great deal for $220 shipped to the door ready to bolt on and mine has the led SLP brake light which is sweet.

hey vinnie did you have to wire in a relay on your ss wing wiring? i had to on my 93 because the led was throwing the abs light on

nope, I simply spliced into the brake light wire with the supplied wiring and a few connectors. Never had a problem with it.
One thing you may wanna take a look at is when you install it there will be this like 1/4" thick foam on the bottom of the spoiler, I ripped this off because the spoiler wasn't lining up right with the body of the car. Other than that the spoiler looks great. Here's a pick of it after I installed it. This was taken before I removed the foam padding I was talking about and you can see how it wasn't lining up perfect.

ok i had to install an inline relay because on my 93 it was setting off my abs light. the wiring might be different with the 98+ f bodys

nice pickup, the SS wing changes the look of the entire car. and if u got it from the same place NJNETFAN and I got it from its a nice quality spoiler.
How did u wire the relay because my light on my dash it on and i haven't done anything about it but would like to.

you need a resistor wired in because the led's draw less than stock incandescent bulbs. don't know the amount of resistance needed though.

www.spoilerdepot.com also sells them at a similar price. I purchased one from a member here on the forums which I think came from one of those companies and I had to do a lot of work to the bottom where it matches to the body. It didn't even come close to fitting on my 95 and it still needs work to sit flush.

Similar price on the product, the only differance is the ebay site is free shipping...which is a huge differance.

I only skipped over some of the new posts, but what's up with this relay everyone is talking about? I just simply spliced into my factory brake light harness and have been running for 6 months without a problem. Is the relay an LT1 brake thing only?

Its hit or miss on some cars. I know I didn't need to do it on my 95.

Well does anyone know of someone who has a true SS that has taken their spoiler off? The spoiler in question that we are talking about has the same SLP brake light in it as the real SS spoiler, so, if anything, that'll tell you if you need a relay on the LS1 cars since you'll be able to see how they were wired from SLP when they did the conversion.

It's gotta be something computer related because the connectors for the taillights and spoiler are the same so it has nothing to do with the wiring.

My break light is directly from GM, and it has SLP stamped in it. If you get an ABS INOP light then you need to run the fuse. If you don't and all your LED's are on without any power surges you are good to go.
