Just got my tickets for Black Label Society and Sevendust at the Starland for April 7th. Anyone else going?

Sevendust eh. Seen them a few times over the years. Like back when they were starting to get big and one of the first bands on stage at ozzfest. Didn't care for them to much. Now BLS I wouldn't mind seeing.. :)

ive seen black label society more times than i can count. its not as awesome as it sound. they clean up his voice a lot on the albums and live he's not very charismatic. id rather listen to wylde shred ass on the axe for a 35 minute set than hear him sing.



sevendust is a band ive seen a few times back in the day. i remember seeing staind open for them at the Troc. back when staind was staind. i havent listend to 7D in a long ass time. wouldnt mind seeing them live again

On Monday, January 19th, Zakk’s Wylde’s father passed away due to complications from his fight against cancer.

The following is a statement from Zakk regarding his passing:

My father, Jerome F.Wielandt who served as an inspiration to me and my music (http://www.blacklabelsociety.net/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=145#) throughout my life, has passed away from cancer. His influence on my life and the life of others has motivated me in ways that have been both unexpected and profound.

My father spent his youth as a orphan in New Jersey who was subsequently drafted to serve his country. A World War II veteran, he participated in the events of D-Day at Omaha Beach as well as Normandy.

My father meant more than the world to me, and his passing will no doubt influence my direction in life and career as this new year continues to unfold.

I am asking fans to allow time for me and my family to grieve in private.

In lieu of flowers, our family would like donations made in Jerome F. Wielandt's memory to:
