Can I extend the four wires that splice into the engine harness by like 5 feet? I wanna put the box inside the car.

why not?

I just don't wanna extend the four wires a lot and then have it lose strength, working ability etc.

switch to a lower gauge with less resistance per foot. i think it will be fine. racers mount them inside around the dash area all the time.

No, you can't. There's a reason it's finned- so that it sheds heat. If you shove it somewhere that is insulated it may heat up and pop the internal fuse.
You can mount it in the passenger compartment but that's not optimal. Just like gen I people who mount their coils sideways. Does it work? Yes, but it may have a shorter life.
But to answer the question, you can extend the wires if you use a quality auto wire of a proper gauge. I think 10-12 is what you should use.

Ok, but it prob will get better cooling inside the car. I drive with the windows down :)
I just want to clean up the engine and that is a loose end as of now.

Ok. It will probably be fine anyway. Just make sure you can get at the rev limiter pills easily.

I only got a 6k one and would love to have the MSD match the computor rev limit. Well off by 100 but still. MSD rev limiter > stock.

Even better, if somebody else has to drive your car, you can throw in the 4000 pill and be good to go.

Yeah, it is. But I'd spend the $. You don't want it to fail on you when you need it most.

Another question, what kind of accessories can I run with the 6AL?

Just saying, if you're looking to buy one you should probably throw something up in the classifieds and craigslist couldn't hurt

I think you can interface a two step, pull timing etc right?
WildBillyT
01-29-2009, 03:04 PM
Interface? I don't think so. It can be part of an ignition system with a two step, timing controller, window switch, etc but it will not be "aware" of other stuff in the system.
LTb1ow
01-29-2009, 03:06 PM
Well yea, sorry, "interface" is a bit much to describe it. But I can plug in a two step or timing retard box into the 6AL right?
WildBillyT
01-29-2009, 03:16 PM
I am pretty sure you can. Call MSD to be sure though.
