ok well as soon as i sell my monte carlo roller it will put me at the 2500 mark to spend on a truck. i was looking into a replacement monte ss but a truck would be more practical. i want to get some opinions so here are the couple options i found that stood out to me so far. if you know of anyone selling a good truck for 2500 or less let me know.

out of these ones im really leaning toward the 92 f150

How do you plan to use it?

The F150 and F350 are both ok looking trucks and set up more for wheeling from the looks of it. The Bronco and the Tahoe are cleaner and would better lend themselves to highway life.

If I was going to pick one to compromise, I would have to look at the Bronco. Good storage, lots of aftermarket, and good power. Just look it over really good for rust. Broncos rust out tailgates and wheel wells.

the tahoe is nice but i acutally like ford trucks alot. i like the bronco alot but i would be taking this truck off road every now and again. but mainly for driving to work and what not and want a pickup for hauling bigger items

well both ford trucks are lifted.... aka had the crap beaten out of them off road already... broncos are awesome and cool and all but like it says its already starting to rust..haha at ford! this leaves us with the tahoe, even tho it has 185k miles, it most likely hasnt been beaten on at all, id rather have a newer high milage car then an older average milage car, plus its got leather and in dash cd changer, plenty of cargo room, 4 doors blahblahblahhhhhh the 'hoe wins

if you are looking to spend a little bit of money (2000-3000) you probably not going to get a truck that was properly maint. and looks good and needs nothing. Just go buy a new truck then.

so working for dodge makes you know everything about them? by the way....just because you held up a counter at the parts department...doesnt mean you know everything that goes wrong with them...

no not running. the upper intake,w/p.rad and what not if out of it, it needs a pan gasket and flexplate which are sitting in the truck. i paid 200 but it was 400 total. me and a friend went halves. but ill take 200 for it and just give him the 200 back lol.

Out of the choices, the Bronco is the best buy. The ford pickups were likely beaten on, and the tahoe looks like it had soccer mom usage. The leather is all cracked, theres stains everywhere. The body looks OK (shiny paint) but I think the drivetrain may be reaching the end of its life. If you want to go off road, the bronco could easily be lifted if you desired, but it seems like it was the most well-maintainted and cared for of the bunch. The rust described is common for those trucks. You should still keep searching though, there will be some real deals out there.

I know the owner of the second one. He just got a brand new truck. Hes upfront about everything, He works at a dealership and prolly one of the smartest kids I know that can rebuild an engine correctly to specs.

Honestly, I think the F350 is a better buy if you plan on going off-road. Can't go wrong with a Sterling, Dana60 and a C-6 trans.

The bronco is in good shape. He re-did the bottom end about 6 months ago, very good job never beat on it either... I ride quads with him and see him every morning at wawa
