There are the screws across the bottom front lip and there are screws in the windshield defogger vent across the back. Once those are all removed you will be able to pull it straight out.

i think your thinking thirdgen.,

for a 95 bird all you have to do is take the pillar panels off on each side of the window and then very carefully you pry it up to unsnap the plastic velcro like fasteners. its hard and i wouldnt do it unless it was absolutly unavoidable. its very fragile.

thanks again. im picking one up fri. and i dont want to crack it. instead of prying with a screwdriver. i may use a spackle trowel. wider.

just go very slowly. take your time and see where the fasteners are before you pry at it.

if its a weak one that would have broke in a few weeks months anyway it be extra fragile, where as when i got mine out of a yard someone else pulled it i wasnt allowed to they were rough with it and it held up.

also when you handle it make sure to hold it both hands and balanced because if you hold too much on one side it will snap (that happen to me also)

i plan on looking at where mine are on my dash. since its in a million pieces. and the previous owner covered it with the dash carpet.

yea thats why i may let the guy im getting it from remove it. so if he breaks it. i wont have to pay. i also saw on shbox.com, under the parts list. a new one is 89.00 from a dealer. hmmmm
