So a few weeks back i traded my firebird straight up for a 1966 Chevy II Wagon. I love how the thing looks. i was looking to sell the bird and this came along and i thought it would be a cool project to work on. She's only got a mild 350 in her but i love cruisin' around town in it. The interior needs some work and the body has some rust around it but for how old it is its in great condition. Anyways heres some pics.

The only thing that i know about them is that they look cool lol. Figured it was a good deal. Now the project will begin. Once spring comes i think i'm gonna start on some body work. So should i go custom resto? I'm also tossing around the idea of turning it into a rat rod type wagon, flat black paint red steel rims with white walls, but im not sure yet.

Yup im gonna, but i went to change the thermostat housing gasket yesterday because it was leaking and found that there was no thermostat. Went and got a 160 and the car started to run hot. Coolant that came out had a brown color to it so im thinking i may have a blockage in the block or some build up.

I just joined there lol. I was gonna say something to you cause i noticed a couple days ago you were a member there wildbilly. But i hope to completely overhaul it. Disc brakes are on the list or "wish"list at the moment along with a lot of other things.

Yeah, I hear you on that. When I got mine I was really excited about a lot of things- the 4 wheel manual drums and lap belts were not on that list, however.

Very sweet little II. I like the vent tube on the intake. I wish I had done it with mine to make it look more stock. Good find though! Please upgrade those brakes from the single chamber MC.

Wagons are cool. I'd throw a surf board in the back of that beyotch for effect!
