i brought the car to aamco about a hour ago. getting my trans rebuilt with a 2800 converter. i bought the car off of a guy that was a supervisor there and is getting it rebuilt with wholesale price. so its going to be $1295 for intial rebuild and more for electric. he said it will be in between 1295-1695. nota penny more. andi got a NATIONWIDE! warranty lmao.. lets just say i had to sell myself to a bigblack man named tiny for the money hahaha.
similar to a price you would have gotten from a sponsor......

No kidding. Aamco? Seriously? Unless you know the guy that's building the trans I wouldn't trust that trans as far as I could throw it.

what does "and more for electric" mean?
As far as I know all of the service that goes into a trans rebuild is hard parts. Unless you need a solenoid as well, but that should be known from the inspection and diagnosis before you are given and estimate.
Honestly, it doesn't sound like much of a deal.

You are correct Mike, I probably could beat $1700. It all depends on what hard parts are damaged which you cant see until the box is apart. Also does that include converter or are you supplying your own?
Anyways, good luck with that....

Nothing on it that will kill a stock rebuild tranny. Thats all. I wouldn't worry to much about it, we all can't do everything the way would want too.

Eh, your car is stock.
your definition of stock sucks
hey at least your car is getting fixed and you will be driving it again. hope it works out for the better.
if the car broke it once, it can do it again, the "stock" argument sucks
