how many do they have? My buddy was looking at a car and I ran it on the scanner and came up with both front o2's being bad and a bad o2 on bank 1 sensor 3. It was cold out so I didn't look under the car, but if I had to take a guess...these cars only have one cat? My question is where is sensor 3 on the v6 cars and is it the one that tells u whether or not the car needs a cat?

what codes did you have?

OBD2 has three, one in each bank and one after the cat.

It could mean a bad cat or just the sensor is going bad.

well on my z28 it has 4. bank 1 has a sensor 1+2 and so does bank 2. I've never heard of a bank 1 sensor 3 so that's where I'm getting lost.

I just meant the V6. They only have one cat, it after the Y-pipe and one sensor after that.

We have 4. 1 on each manifold, and then one pre and post cat.

The later cars didn't have a 3rd one before the cat....just one on each side, then one after the cat (this was on Little G's 2002 3.8 / M5).
