Not just in shape, but in good enough shape to beat another member of the team to the line so you don't have to buy the first round.

3.2 mile run used to be able to run under 15 min but I'm WAYYYY out of shape these days. i did this about 3 years ago for my moms friend but it was for brain cancer i think or just cancer i forget. Not far from me maybe i can come be the water boy... lol

If you can get back to running 15's you could clean up at a lot of the smaller events around the area. lol

I have never really tried to run a super fast time in a 5k. I mostly just try to target run and keep my miles consistent. My best time ever was a 25:18.

My best time so far is 29.2 and that can easily be improved.

PS: we need more people to help the cause!

The most I have ever heard about Alex moving on foot is about a mile, so maybe you have a shot Ian. lol

It was a pretty good time, Matt, Alex, and I decided that a brisk walk was more appropriate than actually running.

They didn't seem to have the system down too well. Only 1.5 hours from the opening of registration to the 5k, then they sent off the 5 k early while we were in line for the bathroom without really announcing it or anything.

It was a good time anyway. We then had a lovely tour of the Bound Brook/Bellville area on foot as we hunted for a place to eat. Little tip for anyone thinking of trying to do the same, there are no restaurants so just give up and head home. lol

Thanks to everyone who donated. We will have a better plan for the South/Central Jersey Komen race at Great Adventure in the fall.

Woot, competition for that one eh?

I may start running a bit more now, sub 20s 5k for the great adventure :)

Glad I wasn't the only one that was caught in line for the bathroom. At least it was for a good cause.

Joe and Ian, PM me your addresses or something so I can send your shirts.

And we decided that we are gonna gamble on the fall race. Make a real run of it. Great Adventure has no major hills or anything and I think other than the traffic from the walk it could be a fast course :)

I didn't notice any hills at this run, though it was pretty flat.
Do you have a link to the fall race, I'll see if I can make it.

Sent you my info.

Thanks,Joe
