i have a stock diffriential with richmond 3:73 ring n pinion gears. I can not get it shimmed right, i either get it to tight or to lose, and it wines like crazy. does neone have ne suggestions on how to get this right? If i cant get it right im just gonna get a rear end thats allready done but id like to keep the one i have. thanx in advance................ allen

Richmond gears are known for being pretty loud. Chances are no matter how you set them up they are gonna whine quite a bit.

i had richmond 3:73's and they were noisy no matter how you shimmed them. Most performance gears are made of harder materials that stock ones and will tend to be noisier.

i had 373's in mine and mine didnt whine???
