I was listening to Booker, and apparently that right now, there is going to be a big change.
Im on thier site, and I cant listen to thier radio, so I put it on my alarm clock, but Im not sure if i have the right station.

seems to work that way. once you find a decent station in comes management with another bright idea!!
same as what happened to 106.3.

101.9 is good.
Ok, yeah tried to listen to them on line, but trying to connect took like 5 mins with all this buffering.
Nothing seemed to have happened...oh wells, KROC is still here.

Not trying to sound like a dick, but if you can spare $13 a month(2 1/2 packs of cigs, a case of Miller or Bud cans, or 7 Large Dunkin Donuts coffee's) get Sirius Satelite Radio or XM. You get uncensored, commercial free music ,and uncensored talk and sports with limited commercials. I've had it for 3 years, and every so often I tune in to the locals, and they are playing the same $#!t they were playing 3 years ago.

I use to like Booker a few years ago when he did nights before he went to Philly...Yea O&A are gone, Howard was talking about it this morning. Not an easy job replacing Howard Stern. They even got rid of Adam Corolla on the west coast a few weeks back. Most of those stations are going to top 40.

Now the only halfway decent rock stations are from PA.

Ive been listening to Stern since the mid 90's, I use to like those guys before getting sirius but it got old quick...They use to rip on Howard everyday an there ratings couldnt hold a candle to his...never did understand that.

NEW YORK (AP) -- CBS Radio has announced that WXRK in New York, better known as K-Rock, is switching to a Top 40 format.
The mostly classic rock station will change its moniker to Now FM (92.3) and start playing music from acts like Beyonce, Kanye West, Pink, and Justin Timberlake.
Missing in the new lineup are radio bad boys Opie and Anthony, whose morning show was dropped by CBS in the format overhaul.
It's the station's third identity change since Howard Stern left for satellite radio three years ago. CBS first tried a talk format then switched back to rock.
A spokeswoman says CBS Radio is hoping the format change will bring in a larger and more youthful audience.

Why the **** is there a sudden urge for every radio station to play goddamned top 40 ********?
Is there really a huge market to justify every station playing the same horrible songs?

I'm glad I barely listen to the radio any more, since i got the Ipod hookup in the camaro.
I knew something was up when I got in my car this morning and O&A weren't on. I guess its finally time from me to get a head unit with an aux input. radio is dead.

Yet another example of somebody looking at a bell curve of popularity data and picking the dead center of the curve.
This is just like all the stores that sell only the popular items. Yes, it makes sense for 85% of the people. But if you are in that other 15% you are dicked.

this sucks. its not like "the youth" dosnt listen to rock? WTF gives people the urge to do this when there is,,, hmmmmmm. maby like 8 other stations playing the same crap.
For those of you with Facebook... I don't know what good it will do but it's a start. Get the word out to your friends and have everyone you know call and send emails. The voicemail message is long but if you stay on the line you will be able to leave a message eventually.

BOOKERS GONE TOO? WTF they JUST rehired him like what, a month ago? WTF is that!! He must seriously be upset right now.
What a ****-shoot. Friggin horrible. So now we have 5-6 Pop stations now in NY. Awesome.
Wow K-rock is K-Gay now, what a shame. I went to Sirius with Howard and loved O&A when they were on WNEW 102.7. Satellite is 500% better, 30 rock stations, 8 Country. F regular radio.

No matter how much people didn't like Howard Stern, he is the one that held K-rock together. Ever since he left, 92.3 K-rock has just fallen to pieces. As soon as you think they get back together, they turn to **** again.

Howard wasn't on all day, it wasn't ALL one person. howard, O&A< anyone. There was music afterwards, except when they had various people for talk radio all day for a little bit.

K-Roc did well with Howard as such a massive ratings puller, the station just rode his coat-tails.
I dont know what the ratings where for the station, or how do you even calculate ratings for radio, but it seemed they were doing ok.
Looks like 95.9 has moved to #1 on the presets. Long Live The Rat. They even had a little ad today, welcoming new listeners that are looking for a good rock station.
Oh well. I listened to W-Now today...wow, its like Z100.

This blows. I used to hate WFAG 101.9, but they changed formats and now they are OK. Its odd turning to a station that I had blocked out for so many years.

I was looking for a station I could listen to today besides wsou and I cant get rat rock where Im at and it seems a few of the other stations as well have changed formats. Even 95.5 is playing a little different music.

I was flipping between 92.3 and 100.3 and for two or three songs in a row, both stations played the same thing, just off by about 20 seconds
