I really like that pic to, but it doesn't show the car very well at all. And this is supposed to be Car of the Month, not really nice picture with a car in it of the month.

Yea my pic isnt that great sorta rushed it becasue i was creating traffic havoc Im having trouble getting the car and sky combo right. By the way im just posting a pic every month until i win. Keeps me practicing my car shots :p

They are all very nice cars. I thought it was going to be hard to choose but once I saw #9, it was over for me. I am not taking anything away from the other cars but when I saw that 1st gen, good lord. Still my favorite car out of any muscle car, just a beatiful car.

Not to start a debate, but that kinda bugs me about the COTM. I am no photographer and more likely than not, my camera is not the best, and that pretty much kills any chance of me winning. Its more about how great of a "picture" it is than the car shown... IMO

It's not always the camera but the location, the car sitting in your driveway covered in snow won't get my vote. throw it somewhere unique and you've got a much better chance

im not trying to argue, i just think that no matter how "great" a picture is taken, no one here would vote for a junk car....... and no matter how "great" a car is, no one would vote for it if half is washed out by the sun or flash, and the other half is overwhelmed by the rusted f150 parked next to it in the local walmart lot.

its definitely a combination of car and photo.

i agree with mike. the photo should atleast be a half decent attempt at a good shot. regardless of what kind of camera is used, the angle, location, and time of day will make a good picture.

I for one like all f-bodies and think that they deserve equal consideration when it comes to judging them for the COTM. It was somewhat sarcasm. I do love the styling of the first gens and if it wasn't for them, there would be no 99 like I have. I'm just saying that if the cars in pictures 6 and 8 were not as old as they are, those pictures wouldn't get nearly as many votes as they have. I understand this is COTM, but the background of the picture does have something to do with it. I don't see how just taking a picture of your car in a parking lot with other cars should be good enough to win. But this is just my opinion....

Thanks Mike. I'm not trying to start an argument saying my picture is better, because there are better pictures. I'm just saying that out of all of these pictures, the best overall one(Car and background) is picture 8 IMO. If it was a first gen or 2nd gen, I think the picture would have gotten more votes.

I'm also one of the people who thinks that more effort should be put into the picture. I rarely vote for anyone unless they have a nice car AND a nice picture to go along with it. With that said:

1 - ordinary 4th gen with photoshoped hood... + a car in the background - no go.

2. I think my cell phone makes nicer pictures than that.

3. Turd gen + an ugly building behind it. Truly winning combo.

4. Fast and the furious + domestic scene?

5. Same as 3.

6. Hey, NICE TRUCK!

7. Crappy picture, date in the corner and lack of anything exciting in the picture. Another winning combo.

8. Best Idea out of all of these, but the picture is too dark for my liking.

9. If the picture didn't suck I would have voted for this car. But I'm not a fan of "grocery store parking lot" photography.

But they are....and it is not a pure photo contest. Like Mike said it is a combo of both photo quality and the car itself, and a user may be swayed by either or both. I usually vote for the car I like best (I rarely vote in these things) as long as I don’t dislike the pic. For me a nice older car will normally trump a car I see driving down the street everyday. Maybe I’m voting partially for the hard work it took somebody to make it that nice – it sure is harder than buying a 2002 and slapping some parts on it.

I ended up voting #9. It’s not like there are too many around here anyway, so it’s not like every one is getting trumped by 1st or 2nd gens every month. I did almost vote for #1, but I don’t like the pic other than the very cool hood thing.

the simple fact is, i cant tow my unrestored 68 out for a photo shoot and have it win no matter who takes the pictures.

by the same token, a 400k copo car cant win if a 4 year old snaps the shot.

while its not a photo shoot, the picture has to not hurt anyones eyes

I know mine is to dark............It was killing me trying to get that picture. But i couldnt stand traffic almost hitting my car so i left. Im glad people are voting though. Id rather lose everytime as long as people are posting good pics for competition and memebers are voting and voicing their opinion

Thanks to everyone who voted for my '68. I really appreciate the support and would also like to give a shout out to all the other great looking cars that were in the running. Since the quality of the photo was talked about so much, I promise to take the car out and get some really good pictures of it as soon as the weather breaks!! I know that the one I submitted wasn't the best shot but it was the only one I had.
