I think I know the answer to this but is there a way to pull timing when you spray? I know that you can have your tune always pull a few degrees up but that would not be optimal for the vast majority of times when I am not spraying. I think I have two options, get a manual add in to the 6AL and pull some timing myself, or get a mallory 685 and have that pulling timing when the nitrous is armed, correct? Am I forgetting any other options?

MSD opti allows for 5 degrees of adjustment

Yea, but my opti is working and I would much rather not have 5 degrees pulled all the time.

I think the MAF Translator can pull or add timing as well as fuel up to a certain amount. I know Bryan Loo was using that on his 98 or 99 SS running in the 10's with a 75-125 shot.

You are correct, the perferred method is to use an ign. box that can pull timing when the nitris is activated. Or use an aftermarket ECM, but that's allot more $$$

Thats for a dry shot I believe, I am planning on running a wet plate shot. And I guess the next question is, sell the 6AL and buy a 685 or just buy the rotary timing puller for the 6AL?

Are you looking to only have it pull the timing when you spray or do you want the curve adjusted permanently?

MSD has a timing retard box that just requires a switch to activate. Not sure how it would wire into an LT1 though

Just when I spray, the mallory is pretty pimp and it will automatically pull whatever amount of timing you want when you arm the nitrous, I think the 6AL rotary knob is just whenever you turn it to pull some timing. And I have the harness for the 6AL and everything already its just a matter of running the wires for the timing accessory.

I can't find anything on FJO's site about one for timing, but I know they do a lot of Nitrous stuff.
