Okay guys, time to clean up those garages! That's right, it's time for another swap meet. I have a spot reserved with my friends at MyOnlineGarage and TeamXXX Racing (it is, however, my spot) and any NJFBOA members who want to come out are more than welcome to it (if you have a few random parts, and so long as I get first dibs on anything you bring!)

PM me for my cell phone number.

Also, I'm sure others here have spots reserved as well.

dont mean to hijack but do you think its a good idea to reserve a spot to just try and sell my car there?

Mulletbird

No. They actually have spots setup for vehicle sales, and iirc they're cheaper than the 20x20. Plus, people will be looking to buy a car when they walk by.

Last swap meet I was scavenging for parts, it wasnt that great of a swap meet at all. But this time around I have found my self in a haystack of parts in my garage that iv been trying to sell. If I still have this stuff by then ill def be their to get rid of parts and if they dont sell ill give them away!

Keep in mind, we will be sharing space. Point being, don't arrive with a 20' long enclosed trailer packed end to end, and expect to have it all unloaded and spread out. Doesn't mean you can't bring a trailer and a book of what you have, and arrange to walk out to the trailer and get the parts when interested parties arrive.

his post didnt say if he was gonna share or get his own?

Depends on how much crap I have by then I am always buying more aprts and selling more parts. But I AM trying to keep it at selling more parts nowadays. More than likely I will have one table full of crap and a few extra boxes if all goes well so sharing would be nice and it wouldnt be alot). If I DONT get rid of ANYTHING I have ill probally get my own spot for one day I wouldnt even need a whole one.
But yea just wanted to clear that up

Yeah, I gotta be more prepared this time so I don't have to sleep on the front seat of the truck.

lol. btw - if I do have a vendor spot, and leave for the night, can I get back in early, or do I have to wait for them to open?

Might be bringing some tarp for the canopy - makeshift tent, plus a piece of 5mm plastic from Home Depot (floor) and a mattress, I should be set.

The overnight stay is worth sacrificing sleeping in a comfy hotel bed. Things get funny, freaky, and a little bit weird once the gates get locked.

But come over to mine for some BBQ wings. Be warned - they are known to make grown men cry.

Mulletbird

I'll be there. Sounds good ...

What's the buy-in for poker? I won't have much money, maybe $5 or $10 to spare so I throw some skin in the game (enough that you try hard and play realistic and like), but not enough to break the bank. You know, these tough times and all.

Mike, I might have money in my wallet, but that isn't spare money. That's making the F-body faster or fixing up my chevy money.

I went early this morning with my buddy and walked around for 4 hrs. but was very disappointed. I'm not a swap meet expert by no means but I thought there was alot of junk there! I did not see any late model f-body parts at all or any skinnies either that I was looking for. But I had a decent time and got plenty of exercise!

ya it def wasnt as good as some of the preveious years. All i managed to pick up was a new shiftter bezel or what ever they are called. Really the whole day friday up and down every asile and that was all I got. And If i had a dollar for everyone selling thoes Honda three-wheelers, I'd be rich!

I went for my first time and had lots of luck.. I did notice that there wasn't much of a selection of 4th gen parts but still lots of good finds if you looked around. I finally got SS floor mats for my 99 so I was very happy with that, and few other odds and ends

I got a couple rusty nails, and tried selling my rims. No good offers, so they're still up for sale. See other thread.
