Had some time this weekend so I took the plunge to swap subframes.

The subframe is loosely in there now. I plan on cleaning up the engine and trans and rasing the subframe back in with the driveline in. The only casualty for the day was the distributor cap and rotor. I left them in so I wouldn't mess with the timing, and when the subframe broke itself loose the cap got broken. Oh well. Guess it's time for an MSD.

The much improved performance is much more important than the look!

The beauty in those arms is the increase in caster. Old cars usually have very little negative caster, and some had positive. That is no match for big modern radials. With the DSE arms he can probably dial in 4.5*-5.5* neg caster. I have -6* with mine.
