thought the Nigerian scam was big? check out the latest. will these scammers stop at nothing? what imaginations they have...

Car thieves (http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2009/03/military_car_scam.html) have the FBI's attention.
thought losing your job was tough? check out these guys (http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2009/03/job_scams.html) who prey on the unemployed.
they're even using the banks' troubles (http://www.bankrate.com/caf/news/bank/20090112-phishing-scams-dupe-consumers-a1.asp) to scam people.

it's a very good time to keep an extra eye on your identity and be very wary of too-good-to-be-true offers. hell, those guys who were hyping "free gas" a while back when gas was $4 a gallon can't be found today to make them pay up. people spent hundreds of dollars to get vouchers for free gas and months have gone by with nothing being received. be alert.

The biggest scam I see going is actually legal. All of these "save your home from foreclosure" services are the biggest crooks going. They are charging $600-1500 and some even more to fill out forms that you can get for free from your bank so that people can get loan modifications or refinance.

Hell, our governor is even staring in one of the commercials.

People should invest in common sense, it goes a long way.

With his track record, broken promises and his new ridiculous budget are you really surprised?
