Those are for a 3 series carrier. You have a 2 series.

Let me guess- You aren't getting proper tooth engagement- the gears don't "reach" each other?

12. What is a series 2 or series 3 carrier, and what do I have?

A 2 series carrier is a car that came with 3.08s or lower from the factory (i.e. all of your 2.73 cars). A 3 series carrier is a car that came with 3.23s or higher. This is very important when you order new gears, as they will differ from 2 to 3 series carrier!

Yep. Although the general consensus is that Motive and US Gear ring and pinion sets are quieter once installed.

If you have a few extra bucks replace it with ARP stuff.

can i ask why 3.42's? i would consider replacing the bearings and axle seals while its apart.
