the ban would apply only to new cars. It's not retroactive.

Good god.
Does the state of California realize that for every ton of emissions they "prevent", the country of China quadruples that amount in its output of emissions? (Quadruples is prob an understatement)

so they would save .8 million (aka 800grand) a yeah but yet cost the tax payers millions in upped prices.
I call BS on this the government can't place a ban like this car are considered an innerstate import/export or w/e it is and they would have to be banned nationwide for it to be effective.

what do you mean cost the tax payers millions?
california has its own emissions standards. for companies to sell emissions products in cali, they have to be carb certified.

The state government absolutely can place a ban or restrictions on that. Federal law wouldn't apply to that since it would fall under state emissions code...and each state can govern those laws as they see fit provided they are still with in Federal EPA guidelines.

TTAC likes to drudge up bs and just blow things way out of perspective.
Dont read TTAC. It would be like trying to find a level headed view of President Obama on Limbaughisgod.com

if this tries to get passed through legislation someone is gonna bring up the point that people make a statement about themselves through their cars. banning a certain color would impede on their right to make said statement treading very finely on their consititutional right for freedom of speech or expression.

Ya, the music is kick ass, but the lyrics are pretty dark and deep.
