Advance preview of 100 new features.
For iPhone owners, it just keeps getting better. When iPhone OS 3.0 arrives this summer, it will introduce over 100 new features, including the ability to:

Search your iPhone
Cut, copy, and paste
Send photos, contacts, audio files, and location via MMS*
Read and compose email and text messages in landscape

i wouildnt say catching up so much as filling in the blanks. The iphone has a nicer interface, runs smoother, and has better browsing than BBStorm, there were just a few things that were over looked.

iphone has been out longer too and the bbstorm is getting its software corrected im sure the competition will be alot tighter once the bbstorm gets the kinks out...on the down side the bbstorm requires an exta 40 bucks ontop of what ever your normal minute plan is..only issue i have with the iphone is the carrier sucks

up til i got my iPhone in december, i was a devout verizon person. I had no problems with them whatsoever, and that was the ONLY thing keeping me with verizon when the iPhone came out. I decided to switch, and gotta say, i'm very happy with at&t. No more dropped calls than usual, possibly a little less, and I have service now where I used to not get any at all. definitely very happy.

Nicer, and Better are words used to describe opinion, not fact :lol: I hate typing on my Itouch, I'm sure it's no different than an Iphone in that aspect. Different strokes for different folks.

sure, nicer could be an opinion, but the browsing is faster, smoother, and it can open more than one page at a time.

i didnt even know there was a group of people stuck between the two. the bbstorm is horrible the whole clicking screen is stupid. everyone complains about att but i have never had a problem.

even if the iphones phone part sucked say like an old razr and it had the app store i would still get it the app store is amazing some of the things on there are crazy.

Sure it's faster when it's available. :lol: I haven't been able to use it on campus yet so it's pretty useless to me. Oh, and it doesn't support VPN but that's another issue.

But anyways, I didn't buy the phone for the internet browsing. When I needed it it worked flawlessly though.

I like the "stupid clicking screen". :shrug: I think Iphone/Itouch typing is a lot worse. Yes I have both, and use both on daily basis.

I happen to like the "stupid clicking screen" as well.

I agree that the Iphone/Itouch seem to operate a little smoother than the BBstorm and have a little more intuitive of an interface. I happen to like the BB better, its just preference.

its cool and all but its weird lol

and yes the iphone typing is a pain in the ass but it will be a hell of alot better when we will have landscape keyboard for everything.

pretty much where ever i go i have 3G never had any issues edge was a different story lol. i have been to nawlins boston atl all were perfect but nawlins had the fastest 3g.

I like my click screen. The new betas for the storm seem to solve lagging problems and there is a different browser that is faster.

oh dam i thought thats a new iphone coming out in the summer. its just the operating software? those are all the things i need on my iphone haha sweet.

I will say that had I waited till when my contract with verizon would have expired, I would have deffinatly switched.

Yeah, crackberry is a good site to get that info. Hey Tsar and Ian, did you guys DL Where yet? Cool free app that gives you some cool info in the palm of your hand.

I havent tried to DL any of the new updates since the laptop took a **** on me, so I have to wait till its released by Verizon.

haha yeah i used to have my iphone modded but it ran like crap. can't wait until 3.0 comes out, it'll really make life MUCH easier!

You can go to Where.com. When you click on the app, it opens up this new screen. Where can locate you, and give you local info on traffic, gas prices, news, yellow pages, local resturaunts, shopping, and a buch of other things.

Probably right after apple makes the battery replacement user friendly.

My screen is still decent, after about 4 months of use. It is a know issue though, but you can always go back to Verizon and exchange it.

I noticed that on the screen cover the storm ships with didnt show any smudges, but the replacement ones show more. Plus they are a bitch to put on. I got a few dust specs under it...ugh.

i have had my BBStorm for the last three months and i loveeee it! Still have the original screen cover on it too.

As for the screen issues, I have a hard case with screen protector and I've never had a problem. Best 30 bucks I've spent I think. My dog got the phone the first day I got it, no damage. It's been dropped twice, still no damage. And the screen wipes off with my sleeve.

Wouldn't the speed depend on the connection, which varies from carrier to carrier? Regardless, I haven't used it on the Iphone so I won't go into more detail.

I don't think I said anything about the screen being bad, I just said that I hated typing on it. There's no feedback. If that wasn't directed to me, then please disregard. :mrgreen:

********! Much faster? I was a hair slower then you, and I had less reception then your phone.
I dyno tested the phone vs an iPhone at the ATT store, and my Storm was faster. Both had full reception.

I don't remember us having different reception, but I remember my page loading, scrolling down, looking at you and you saying a four letter explicative before yours was loaded and ready to go. Was probably a good 5-7 seconds faster
