I have heard too many horror stories about cheap rockers, so I'd go with the Crane ones.

Methinks that if he is looking at Proforms and used cranes then $285+ rockers are probably out of the question, guys.

I would avoid cheaping out on rockers especially needle bearing ones if they let go have fun fixing your engine...
Cranes are supposedly the quietest full bodied roller rockers, compared to pro mags which are prob the loudest.

Yea im looking for something cheap at the moment iv spent a great deal of money on the car and bottem end and all I need to finish the motor is pistons cam/lifters and roller rockers that arnt going to rub on the valve springs like my stock 1.5 stamped ones did.
Pistons and cam im def not cheaping out on thats the only reason the motor was done and in the car 3 weeks ago, but as far as RR's go I can go cheap/temp for a month or two then sell them and buy some nice new ones.(Its a simple enough swap).
I will take a look at the crane ones if I like them ill probally pick them up. Those ultra pro mags do looks sick(but their under valve covers so wtf al?) and I have heard good things about them so that maybe a future decision right their.
Heres a link to the crane roller rockers thats for sale

If you want to cheap out on rockers, get a set of stamped magnums new. They are like hundred bucks and won't ruin your engine. Much safer than buying used rockers.

Don't forget you need Self Aligning rocker arms if your not running guide plates and hardened pushrods = Promags.

crane ftl !!!!
comp is one of the best companies going, aside from jesel, TD, and isky. and as far rocker noise is concerned, aluminum rockers absorb some of the valve train noise. but if your valves are loud u did something wrong.

Every one of the major companies has had parts fail. I've read stories of cam lobes being wiped, lifters puking their needle bearings, etc from all of the big names. Bottom line is, if the company had a consistent issue with poor quality, they would have been out of business long ago.
Any new brand name part should treat you just fine.
And no, Comp doesn't own Crane.

While cheap and durable ( they lasted on my cam, and springs) they are a royal pain the ass to adjust. Almost impossible to do while the engine is running, so if you don't know how to adjust the right way, I would suggest learning it.
