Has anyone seen the new Silverado Commercial? Looks like GM finally got into comparing / criticizing why Chevy is better than the others, specifically giving reasons. In this one, they kinda make fun of the ford with the "Man Step", and then question why you would want a man step over a truck that is backed with 100,000 mile warranty, etc.

Ugh..horrible commericals. While the whole step-in-tailgate thing is meh, GM should leave the making fun of others to Toyota.
GM knows it makes the best selling, most powerful, and most fuel efficent trucks. They just need to say that, without making fun of everyone.
Toyota's commercials come off childish, and by far horrible. I love the one where they talk about how many quarts a normal American full size truck tranny takes, and that toyota's doesnt need maint. Bull, Toyota has 50/60k trans fluid service intervals where GM doesnt request it unless you are doing heavy hauling/towing.

Nah the best 'make fun of' commercial i have seen is one by honda....they post great clips of American vans from the 70's-80's like the A-team for one then they say "respect the van" or something like that and then show their wanna be minivan....

Gm needs to do something with their advertising dept....cause they suck. i never see gm adds on tv and thats half the battle right there.

I dont need a commercial to tell me how good it is!!! I put 16k on it in 11 months and have nothing bad to say about it, which is rare because I usually find a laundry list of reasons to get rid of a vehicle after about a year of owning it. I have to hear my father bitch about how much he hates his Colorado everytime he steps foot in my truck! My brother has an 07 Ram 1500, the biggest P O S in the world, so I didnt need to test drive one, to know it wasnt on my list. I tested an 08 F*** F150 and it was a little tighter in the cab and the one I test drove had an idleing issue when it started, the ride wasnt as good either. Not sure about any of the import pick-ups but I had no real interest.

How about a couple new "like a rock" commercials...they were pretty cool

Despite me not being some kind of brand loyalist, I would only buy GM trucks. They truly are toughest.
