Really bored in programming class and found this.
Prob seen it before. But if you run XP, click run, telnet, and type in O towel.blinkenlights.nl

It doesn't do anything, its a nested egg that a programmer slipped into XP. Its like the full movie in charectors, and text for the speech.

Nope. Telnet is a protocol used to connect to a remote machine. In this case it looks like you are hitting a server in the Netherlands.

Exactly....which also means that this isn't limited to XP.

so I finally got to try this out, indeed the server in the netherlands is correct.
That was pretty sweet, thanks, it gave me something to do over here for another 30 minutes of my time. 8-)
