View Full Version : Coil Pack Blackout

I have always hated the white filler on the coil packs, so I finally got around to doing a blackout. The blackouts are actually vinyl decals that I drew up in CAD and cut out with my machine.

While I was at it, I also blacked out the reflective tape, got rid of the locking pins, and replaced all the silver mounting bolts with black button head screws (not shown). I still have to take a test drive to see how hot the wires get without the reflective tape on there, but it I think it came out ok.

Its too dark for on car pics now, so I'll try to find some time tomorrow...

Good, now relocate them.


Looks good though. You should do something about those pointy ass screws.

pointy screws are gone, replaced them with black button heads

Some black paint for plastic and spray down those white connectors?

i was thinking the same with the connectors. looks good though. i like when guys paint them red or whatever they got goin on under the hood.

I was going to put in red decal inserts, but thought it might look corny and draw too much attention

Pull your intake and paint that red too.

eh it all depends on your overall theme. from what i remember, i think black will be nice and subtle.
