Since we were on the subject of spam but this area is one of the few that can "indulge" in scrapple which would you prefer to eat? Personally I like both occasionally but many frown upon each because of their particular taste...

I honestly have no idea what Scrapple is. I had to Google it, and it certainly does not look savory.

I'm sure my Grandpa ate that stuff in WWII.

Scrapple has to be done correctly. I personally like Habbersetts sorry about spelling? The spices make it the best. I cut it real thin and fry it up put on toasted bread with ketchup. It's real good just can't think about what it really is made of. I'm a pretty finiky eater but I really like it.

Yeah Scrapple is usually made with "left over" pork parts, its salty like bacon and I personally like it floured lightly and deep fried...a little over a 1/4 in. thick is usually good, anything thicker and the center doesn't quite get cooked...I don't think I had scrapple until 4 or 5 years ago & have been a fan ever since, but yes do not think about what its made of, just enjoy :D

At the end of the day at the butcher shop they scrape all the crap up off the floor and ta-da!! Scrapple!! The most vile "meat" product on the planet.

Scrapple. 1/4 to 3/16 inch sliced with salt and pepper and thrown into a pan with a little butter. Gotta get it crusty on the outside and it's done.
