The stewards decision has been reversed and new penalties handed out!!!!
The penalties against Truli have been reversed and Hamilton has been excluded from the results!!!!
It came out in an interview with SPEED network that Hammy was told by his team to let Truli back by since they were not entirely sure that the pass was legal as to the timing of the safety car. This contridicted the statements that Hamilton AND members of the team made to the stewards of the meet that lead to Truli being put back 10 spots and Hamilton elevated to a podium position.
All is right with the world when the biggest, best funded, and standing world champion, team is handed a royal smack down for trying to run a scheme.
BTW, turns out that this all could have been avoided as the Hamilton pass on Truli was deemed legal. So Hammy could have stayed in front of him and everything would have been cool. It seems Truli actaully went off of the racing surface and that is what lead to Hamilton getting by him. This is a legal pass as you can not be expected to follow a driver that does not maintain the track.
Vetel's appeal of his punishment was denied. It seems that rolling around the tricycle version of such a highly advanced machine is seen as unsafe.
Kubica somehow never got even a finger wagged at him for causing the wreck that put Vetel's car in said unsafe condition. I guess they can't get them all right. lol
