Also getting rid of this pickup in hopes of getting a new reliable daily driver to run back and forth to college with. Its a '91 C1500 with the 4.3 v6, 700r4, and 3.42 open rear. It has been a daily driver since new and has always been kept outside. It has a rust hole in the bottom of the cab on the passenger side which can be seen when opening the door. The truck was hit on the drivers side a couple years ago and I replaced the door and fender with two pieces from the junkyard. I have the original window sticker with it. I wouldn't recommend pulling a large trailer with it, but it can haul almost anything you can put in the bed.
Overall, its a great running truck. Its got 155k miles on it, with oil changes every 3000 miles religiously. It gets good gas mileage for a full size truck...the best i've gotten is 23 mpg with mostly highway driving...going an average of 70-75 mph. It's good for picking up large parts, and I've hauled a motor and trans with no problem. The tires have a lot of life left in them. At 120k miles i rebuilt the top end of the motor, so all top end gaskets are new. At the same time I put a new cat back dual exhaust and TBI spacer. At about 135k miles the rear brake line blew out (steel line) so I replaced the whole line, rear brake hose, two smaller lines, wheel cylinders, brake shoes, hardware, and brake drums. Basically everything related to the rear brakes I changed except the backing plates. I put a new alternator on it about 10k ago, then that one failed so I just put another one on maybe 5k ago. I also just put on a new power steering pump, which was a bitch.
The truck is wired for an aftermarket radio, and has 8 gauge power cable, remote wire, and rca cables for an amplifier. I currently have a boss 400w amp and alpine type e sub behind the seat and a custom box. I'll be keeping the subwoofer and amp. I still have the stock radio and I can include it if desired.
I'd like to keep the tool box if this truck sells.
I believe the truck is very clean and in good shape for its age. I'm asking 1500 for the truck which I think is pretty fair
