A leisurely two hour drive through the winding country roads of the Somerset
Hills area in New Jersey (Somerset and Hunterdon counties)

at the Red Oak Grille in Basking Ridge, NJ

REGISTRATION DETAILS -- Go to www.somerset-hills.org. Click on "Drive for the Kids"

Personal note -- My son J.P., who is 14, has autism and has attended SHLI for
the past 9 years. The school has made an incredible difference in our lives as
well as for the families of his fellow students. My 16 year-old daughter Samantha (with help from my wife and me) is organizing this event as her school service project. We would love to see as many of you as possible in the NJ area come out for this first time event.

This sounds like a very cool event! Ironically, my girl lives a stones throw away from The Stable. lol Def keep me informed, and I'll put the info up on my site as well. I like events like this that have a positive meaning as well as hot cars involved.8-)

FYI -- some of the cars that are coming include:

2006 Murcielago coupe
1973 Ferrari Daytona
1961 Ferrari 250 SWB Berlinetta
2008 Alfa Romeo 8C
1959 Alfa Romeo 2000 Touring Spider
1970 AMC Javelin
Lambo Gallardo
Corvette Z06

more to come...

Also Maserati of North America has signed on as a sponsor and will be providing some great items for the goody bags.

Also, please note -- we have decided to limit the event to 50 cars or less so please register as soon as you can. Our thought is that, given that this is a first time event, and that my 16 year old daughter is organizing, we don't want it to get too unwieldy. We want people to have a good experience -- quality over quantity I guess.
