Finally at the last minute, EVERYTHING is coming together and shaping up nicely for my dad and I to pull all nighters tues and wed to get my car running. We picked up the chassis today, going to get the trans tomorrow, the engine is supposed to be dynoed and in our hands wed evening.

The plan is tomorrow: drain gear oil and replace, mount trans on engine plates, get trans cooler and radiator hooked up, put all plumbing that can be put on in place for wed.

Then wed: get engine, drop it in, hook it up, get it fired up. If its dry out maybe make a few mild test runs here.

Thurs: fix any problems, leave for Atco in the afternoon to hopefully make it to Atco in time to sweet talk them into letting me make a few runs on the muffled night.

Friday-Sunday: Go racing!! :D Anyone who wants to watch some very tight bracket racing for big $$ should come down.

Oh yeah, then Sunday evening I leave for Seattle for a week and a half  Maybe I'll finally get some sleep on the plane.

I think that's what it says. I know Friday is later than the others to give ppl time to get out of work. It'd be great to have a fan club there :-)

Well, everything went as smoothly as can be expected. Putting it all together seemed like an exercise in futility for a while. You know the drill; one step forward, two steps back. But finally after very long nights we fired it up around noon today. Warmed it up for a few mins, loaded it into the trailer and left around 3, just in time to squeeze into the end of 1st round, without a single run on the new engine, an estimated tune and a guess at what to put in the delay box

Of course I didn't catch a break, no red lights or breakouts, other than my own. The car ended up running a 7.540 @ 177.58 on the 2nd pass!!

Hopefully now that were here and settled in we can concentrate more on racing instead of putting it back together

Glad to hear you got it together, that is awesome. I can only imagine what a mid 7 sec pass must feel like.
