So, I'm selling my pickup and blazer in hopes of saving some money for college, and will be getting a car for a daily driver. I was looking into getting a FWD GM car, and I like the looks of the Grand Am GTs and Grand Prixs. I'm hoping to spend about 2k for a car in good shape, and get a car with less than 100k miles that has been pretty well taken care of. I came across this Bonneville which is at a lot a couple miles from me, and wanted to know if anyone has any ideas. The private party value on KBB is about $2000 in excellent shape, so I would probably try to talk it down to near that.Only thing I don't want is a 4 cylinder car...I'd probably get anything from a 3.1 to a 3.8 for fuel economy and decent power. Also, I definetly don't want to get a foreign car, even though they are superior in the class I am searching for I would prefer an American car.

The N bodies are solid cars, and the Quad 4 or Ecotec powered cars are a good deal. My brothers 00 Grand Am SE is a solid car.

I hope I can find a good deal...I'm just not too sure about buying a "lot" car. My camaro was formerly a lot car, and there was some pretty shady stuff done to it, but I didn't know any better when I bought it. I'd rather buy one that has been in the family...I'm just having trouble finding what I want.
