I'm getting a new daily driver (2009 Mercedes C300) so it's time to sell the Elantra.

This is my wife's first car. She is the original owner (her dad co-signed for it).

2002 Hyundai Elantra GLS
4 cylinder
Front wheel drive
Automatic
147,XXX miles

It's currently my daily driver and I see around 30-32 mpg on regular.
I've seen a best of 36 mpg strictly highway
I've seen a worst of 26 mpg strictly city.

I'm a nut with regular maintenance - I make sure everything is done on a regualr basis.
Timing belt was replaced at approx 125,000 miles (dealer did it)
Heater core was replaced at approx 125,000 miles (dealer did it)
Belts were replaced at approx 125,000 miles (dealer did it)
Exhaust manifold/ catalytic conveter was replaced at approx 130,000 miles (dealer did it)
Secondary catalytic converter and O2 sensors replaced 127,000 miles (I did it)
Radiator and thermostat were replaced at approx 100,000 miles (I did it)
Transmission fluid flushed at 147,000 miles (dealer did it)
Oil regularly changed (I did it)
Brake fluid changed approx 130-140,000 miles (dealer did it)
Plugs, wires, PCV valve (basically tune up things) done on a regular basis. (I did it)
New headlights at approx 130,000 miles. High mileage elantra's typically have glazed headlights - I replaced them w/ new ones.

Interior is in pretty good condition. Off the top of my head there are no rips. No one has ever smoked in it.

Exterior - driver's side rear bumper has a dent and a bit of rust (see picture)- been like that since 50,000 miles.

Car has:
Cold air kit (made for a honda accord)
Throttle body coolant bypass
Larger than stock battery
I deleted the exhaust resonator
Aftermarket head unit
Automatic car starter
Aftermarket brighter high beam head lights

When the car is cold (upon first start up) and you start driving, the transmission shifts from second to third gear it shifts hard once. It only does it once and after that the car shifts fine. I dunno why but it has been like that for the past 3 years?

I went to www.kbb.com and entered all the info and gave it a "fair" rating and it says $2,870

Price is $2,000 or best offer

The car is a great car - good in snow - huge trunk - easy to work on - we've had NO major problems with it. If it wasn't for the great deal on the Mercedes, I'd still be driving the Elantra.
