Oil pressure problems

Hey everyone i have a 92 camaro tbi 305 v8 and i did some work to it. After the work was done the car ran great no problems till the oil pressure gauge started falling as the car warmed up. So i checked the oil level was perfect so i looked around for possible leaks which i found a spot in the front from under the new intake i put in i didn't put enought silicone gasket maker so i took everything off cleaned everything and put a new live of the silicone but more then before and now no leek. So i thought the car was good so i took it out for a quick spin and the when you start the car the oil pressure was a little about the 30 mark and as the car warmed up the gauge went lower and lower till it was at 0. I was thinking of putting in a new oil pump but before i do that what else could cause this problem. What can be causing this to happen. Please if anyone can help i would greatly appriciate it. The work i did was a mild cam redid the heads new roller rockers intake throttle body spacer. Let me know thanks guys.

What brand of Oil Pressure gauge are you using? Mechanical or electrical?

If this is new after the cam swap, you probably scratched cam bearings.

5w30 standard castrole oil

i going to say electrical since its the stock gauge

Well since it does more than just peg or similar, I would say its reading, whether its accurate is questionable but its still reading.

Have you changed oil after the cam swap?

I would do that asap, and try to examine the oil. And cut the filter open when you take it off, make sure its not a bad bearing. Although, thats kinda what it sounds like.

I agree but I think you should also get one of those oil pressure test gauge kits and get a true reading of what your oil pressure is. You really cant trust those stock gauges all the time. They are not very accurate and basically just give a estimate.
