I just got pulled over ten minutes ago for my tail light covers. The cop told me that the tails and fronts are illegal in this state. Which sounds like ******** cuz I see them all the time. he told me that since their is still sunlight out, he couldnt see them, so when i got home, i had my friend turn the light on and hit the brakes, and i saw them fine. I personally think its a load of ****, but W/e i didnt get a ticket.

No, tickets for covering up brake lights is not nazi, it's safety. If a driver can't see your brake lights bad things can happen.

F you Bonzo. I'll equate a useless safety diminishing mod with genocide all I want.
i got pulled over by tenafly cops back in '97 for the grid pattern "i put" on my 88 GTA taillights... that pissed me off.

LOL
Why is it that every time someone gets pulled over for something they cry about police and laws? Do you really think that covering up safety lights is a good idea? Does making them less bright somehow make them just as effective as being uncovered?
Covered lights are illegal IN THE UNITED STATES!!!! It's not a Jersey thing, it is a federal highway law thing.
Seems like it would be a lot easier for some people to not get "hassled" if they just had a few simple facts

im with wid billy, honestly, i can still see my lights durring the day without a problem, and u gotta admit, these north jersey cops have nothing better to do with their time, some cop in my old area pulled over the chiefs mother, wrote her a ticket, and went through and made her pay the ticket, THATS UR BOSS'S MOTHER! i mean theirs no reason for north jersey cops to be dicks like that

i havent hated any of my boss's so far, their r things that we hadnt seen eye to eye on, but i never hated them. the cop was an ******* in the town, my uncle worked with the guy, the cheif wasnt an *******, the cop actually got into a bad motorcycle and ended up being paralysed from the waist down and killing himself

And if she got off you would be crying about how the police look out for their own.
Regardless of if you think your lights are clear or not, it's the law. Is that too complicated? Agree with it, don't agree with it, but don't act like the people enforcing the rules are the problem when you are the one not following them
I have no front plate, been puled over for it twice so far, got one ticket out of it. It's the rules, I think front plates look silly on our cars, but that doesn't change the rules. So I can not logically blame the police for enforcement.
Maybe someday you will get actually harassed by a cop, trust me, you will know real harassment when it happens to you. Getting pulled over for something that is actually a rule ain't even close.

Yeah, exactly! When I was "harrased" they drew their weapons on me. He was doing his job. Just like the person who wrote their bosses mother a ticket. Again, doing his job.

i wouldnt piss and moan if he let her off, my uncle would have let me off if he stopped me, i dont blame them for "takin care of their own", and i admit, i dont know harrassment cuz it hasnt happened to me and i dont know about the situation for that to happen to any of you, but for havin those covers on doesnt give him the right to swear and curse at me as if he found a kilo of coke in the car or if i were drunk driving, i admit i got lucky by him not giving me a ticket, but this thread was just to say that the cops in my town are ******** in the way they talk to and treat teen drivers, which i think i forgot to mention wen i started this, i was still a lil pissed off

So when are you going to fix the lights on the 77?

They work. You're just blind.

If I am blind then Billy and Rich must also be. If a driver can't see your brake lights bad things can happen.
So you should really take care of that issue you have
